In response
to the continued spread of international restrictions
on timber used in transit packaging, Tri-Wall launched
the EcoPal, a 100% fibreboard pallet. The Ecopal
pallet range has been well received in the market
place, but some Tri-Wall customers want to load
more than 500 kg onto a corrugated pallet, and to
use racking. The Tri-Wall design team responded,
and developed an enhanced and improved version of
the EcoPal. |
| The
answer; EcoPal HD, a new heavy duty pallet range
which uses the same construction techniques, but
by doubling up on the bearers has dramatically increased
the already high compressive strength and handles
a 1,000 kg dynamic loading. The flat-deck design
is maintained but now incorporates the heaviest
grade Tri-Wall materials as single or laminated
top decks, plus base boards where required. This
gives the EcoPal HD the ultimate integrity and strength
for an all fibreboard pallet combination. |

The new EcoPal HD
range can be specified as either 2 or 4-way entry and is suitable
for all mechanical handling methods. It can be used with packing
conveyor systems and is fully rackable, making it the ideal
option for safe load handling. They are clean, contaminate free,
fully recyclable, light in weight and are ideal for all types
of product and modes of transport, by land, sea or air. |
| Where a total packaging requirement
exists, Tri-Wall cases are also available. The ‘original’
wood-free heavy duty corrugated fibreboard combines lightness
with strength and shock absorption qualities. It can be used
as an outer protective cover, or combined with internal Tri-Wall
supporting elements to safely retain complex shaped goods, and
prevent transit damage to fragile products. |
| EcoPal HDs, combined with Tri-Wall
packs can provide a sensible, economic solution for international
freighting operations, and Tri-Wall provide a fully bespoke
service through their technical design team. |
