Opening our doors again: Tri-Wall backs National Manufacturing Day 2026

Tri-Wall is proud to once again pledge our support for National Manufacturing Day, taking place on Thursday 24 September 2026. Building on the success of previous years, our continued participation reflects our long-term commitment to developing future manufacturing talent and strengthening connections with the communities in which we operate.

What is National Manufacturing Day?

Co-ordinated by Make UK, National Manufacturing Day is a UK-wide initiative that invites manufacturing businesses to open their doors to schools, colleges, career-changers and members of the local community. The day plays a vital role in challenging outdated perceptions of the industry, shining a spotlight on modern manufacturing as an innovative, dynamic and rewarding career choice.

Tri-Wall has proudly taken part for the past three years, with multiple sites across the business getting involved. Each year, we welcome local schools and colleges into our facilities to offer a first-hand look at the wide range of roles, skills and technologies that support our operations – from design and engineering through to production, testing, logistics and commercial activities.

Delivering inspiring on-site experiences for local communities

A brilliant example of our involvement is Tri-Wall Monmouth, where the team has built a strong reputation for delivering engaging, hands-on experiences for visiting students. With an on-site design department and testing lab, the Monmouth facility offers a unique opportunity to see how packaging solutions are designed, tested and refined to meet demanding performance requirements.

During previous National Manufacturing Day events, students have toured the factory floor, observed packaging tests in action and taken part in a design-led build challenge hosted by our Monmouth design team. These interactive sessions are designed to encourage creativity, collaboration and problem-solving, while providing a practical insight into the skills used across Tri-Wall every day.

Tri-Wall Monmouth also works closely with the local secondary school, with a particular focus on engaging students who may be less likely to pursue a university pathway but are interested in the breadth of career opportunities available within manufacturing. The involvement of Tri-Wall employees who once attended the same school helps bring these pathways to life, showing students that long-term, skilled careers within the industry are both achievable and rewarding.
